Cello newsletter 2
Term 4, 28 December 2011
Dear Students and families,
The end of the year is speeding to a close, and as with almost everyone I know, time has simply run away with me and writing newsletters has been rather neglected in my case.
We’ve had several students graduate during the fourth term: Congratulations to Safira (Book 4), Tania and Lynley (Book 1) and Tara (Book 2) on the wonderful achievement! Thank you also, Tania and Lynley, for the lovely (and funny) poem you wrote for me – I hope you don’t mind me sharing it with the other students! We really had lots of fun, most of the time!
Several of you are poised and almost ready (Alistair, Hector, Vicki and Dong Geun) and I look forward to your graduations very soon.
I’m hoping to be in Tauranga again somewhere during the 2nd week of January, and once I’m sure of the date I will text everyone who requested an extra holiday lesson, to see if it suits to have one. Unfortunately the days until now have been just too busy and chaotic to give me the space to fit in lessons. Hopefully 2012 will start off a little more relaxed!
As some of you also know, my phone developed an error and has been sent to the factory I believe, but basically it means I’ve lost all my mobile numbers. My temporary phone (still the same number as always, 027-6840486) works, so I will appreciate a text telling me who sent it, so I can add your name again to my address book. In this way I can be in touch from wherever I am. My internet access will probably be sporadic and unreliable.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a very Happy and Peaceful 2012, and that the coming year will bring much joy and many blessings to you all. I look forward to seeing you all again in the coming year and enjoying making music together!
Regards,
Therèse and Javier
