Bass Drum Sounding Too Muffled?
I’ve had this Ludwig drum set for probably 8 years now. It is starting to wear down. My bass drum is sounding way too muffled though. When I hit it, its a THUD. I hear more of the pedal pad hitting the head than the actual drum.
Any help?
I’ve got a skinny pillow against the pedal side and a blanket in there too.
Change your skins. Not too cheap, but good for the sound.
Most people like muffled bass, i know i do… used to put pillows in mine.
Mic if its not loud enough.
